I don't know if we've ever had more fun working on a project, than we did on this mural for The Social Lights. How could we not enjoy ourselves whilst painting 11 ridiculous internet memes upwards of 11 feet tall? However it was not necessarily all fun and games. We were quite ambitious with the scale, range of colors and level of detail in our design. We also chose to exclusively use traditional brushes and acrylic paint as opposed to the Molotow™ paint pens we had been primarily using at the time. All of this made for quite the challenge, however, as always we more than were up for it. Why memes? The Social Lights is a social media-focused marketing and advertising agency based in NE MPLS. We worked with designer David Maxwell and CEO/founder Emily Pritchard to develop a design which was culturally relevant, light-hearted and included subtle branding to create an enjoyable and memorable experience for employees and clients walking into the office everyday.
